Ceramic is a durable material and takes a long time to denature, resulting in the reduction of its overall carbon footprint, compared to other materials which have a short durable lifespan.
At VICAR, we are passionate about the planet and are committed to increasing the sustainability of our practices and lowering our impact on the environment. These are core values of the company, which we apply to all departments and stages of our production process, including: the warehouses, laboratories, offices and production plant. Through our commitment to this, we have increased our energy efficiency and reduced our environmental impact.

OUR PRACTICES
+ We have systems in place to catch and control industrial waste water generated in the manufacturing process.
+ Filtering systems are installed in the chimneys to prevent the emission of possible harmful particles.
+ We use Natural Gas as our main fuel and we have entered the first phase of solar panel installation.
+ We recover and recycle all the by-products from the production process.

+ We carry out selective recycling of all the waste we generate: packaging ,cardboard and paper, plastic, etc.

EXTERNAL ORGANISATIONS
+ We work with authorised inspection bodies (OCA) for the periodic control of Greenhouse emissions and waste water effluents in accordance with current regulations.
+ We have permanent contracts with authorised waste management officers for the control and removal of waste.
